Sporting Life 10K 2026 Route Update

A Faster, Refreshed 2026 Sporting Life 10K

As Toronto prepares for the FIFA World Cup, the Sporting Life 10K is taking the opportunity to introduce a new start line, a new downtown finish line, and an exciting new post-run celebration area. The updated route preserves the event’s tradition of a fast, downhill course, and now offers an unforgettable finish line experience for runners, walkers, and supporters.

New Start Line at Yonge Street & Glengrove Avenue

The new start line is located at Yonge Street and Glengrove Avenue (2810 Yonge Street) just three blocks north of the Sporting Life store.

Participants will head south down Yonge Street and turn east on Front Street, toward Cherry Street and Corktown Common for the post-run party.

A New Finish Line & Post‑Run Party Downtown

Runners will cross the finish line at Front Street East and Cherry Street, right next to Corktown Common (155 Bayview Avenue) – a beautiful urban park. This new downtown location is easily accessible by public transit and close to popular destinations like the Canary District and Distillery District.

After the race, participants and supporters are invited to celebrate at the post-run party to commemorate their incredible accomplishment and their meaningful impact in support of Campfire Circle’s mission to support kids with cancer or serious illness.

No Pre-Race Shuttle Buses

Due to parking and space constraints, there will be no pre‑race shuttle buses from the finish area to the start line, so participants are encouraged to plan their transportation in advance. Public transit, Bike Share Toronto, and early planning for parking are strongly recommended.

New ‘Bring Your Own Bag’ Bag Check Process

Bag check is also getting a refresh as part of the event’s sustainability efforts. Participants will be asked to bring their own bag (affixed with the tag from the bottom of their race bib) for drop-off at the start line and pick-up at Corktown Common after the race. A suggested $2 donation per bag supports Campfire Circle. Bag size limits are: 45 cm tall × 32 cm wide × 17 cm deep (approximately 18″ × 12″ × 7″).

Run With Impact

Every step of the Sporting Life 10K supports Campfire Circle, helping bring medically supported camp experiences to children facing childhood cancer or serious illness and their families. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, running your first 10K, or walking with friends and family, your participation makes a meaningful difference.
