Bonfire Bash Muskoka Raises $700,000 for Kids with Cancer or Serious Illness

With your support, this year’s Bonfire Bash Muskoka raised an incredible $700,000, funding 280 campers for a week of life-changing overnight camp. A special thank you goes to our presenting sponsor, BMO Financial Group, along with all of our generous sponsors and champions who made the evening such a success.

The event featured delicious food and drinks along with live music by Dwayne Gretzky, all set against the picturesque backdrop of the Muskoka overnight campground. The festivities kicked off with words from the event’s co-chairs Claire and Tyler MacNamara, and Fraser and Christie Chapman. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a camp sing-a-long, join a treasure hunt sponsored by Mindham Fine Jewellery, and each guest received a Campfire Circle braid, adding a touch of camp tradition to the evening’s festivities.

For more than 40 years, Campfire Circle has been delivering healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families with free camp experiences. These programs, offered in hospitals and communities across Ontario, and at two medically supported overnight camps in Muskoka and Waterford, are designed to help children reclaim their childhood and build resilience.

Thanks to the remarkable support from Bonfire Bash Muskoka, Campfire Circle will continue to expand its reach, bringing life-changing experiences to even more children across Ontario.
