Healing through happiness at Campfire Circle.
Joy and hardship can exist beside one another. Campfire Circle has shown me how much impact can come from community and continues to remind me that every kid deserves the chance to just be a kid.
A diagnosis of childhood cancer or serious illness changes life in an instant. Campfire Circle helps lift the burden of medical appointments, treatments, and hospital stays by creating safe spaces for kids to be kids, so families can be families through free, medically supported camp and year-round programs.
Over the past four years, my involvement with Campfire Circle at Western University has made this cause especially meaningful to me. Having graduated, I hope to continue contributing to their mission and continue to bring others together.
From October 16-18, I will be participating in the Tahoe Triple: three marathons in three days around Lake Tahoe in support of Campfire Circle.
My goal is to raise $2500.
If you are able, please consider making a donation or sharing this page with your community. Together, we can help give children moments in which their illness is not the focus.
Kids and families are never alone, because there is always room for one more in the circle.
With campfire spirit, Elizabeth
